An Australian Couple’s Safari Elopement in South Africa

Australia may be their home, but for this adventurous couple, the untamed beauty of South Africa’s wilderness became the destination for their ‘I do’s.’ We captured their love story, starting from the beautiful ceremony held at Ulusaba’s Rock Lodge deck overlooking the expansive African landscape. Throughout the intimate ceremony, the elephants were ever-present in the background, grazing in the landscape below. What a special touch!

Among the many highlights of a safari wedding at Ulusaba lies the skills of the chef who always make the most incredible wedding cakes. They never fail to astound. This time was no exception. The cake had a unique and original touch – chocolate kudu horns on top! So creative!

After the ceremony, we set off on a game drive, looking for wildlife and moments to capture their safari elopement. In the wild, respect for the animals is important. However, nature gifted us an incredible experience – a herd of elephants walked by in the background as we were busy taking pics. Accompanied by a qualified guide, we maintain a respectful distance – A truly unforgettable moment for the couple.
